CRIME   PREVENTION   THROUGH   ENVIRONMENTAL   DESIGN (C.P.T.E.D.)

An absolute "must have" for anyone involved in property management, neighborhood watch organizations or community planning and development. Through the strategies trained in this course you will learn causal factors of crime in society and how you can reduce instances and fear of crime through the implementation of proven crime control strategies.

Matt Carroll, Vice President of Paladin Protection Specialists, Inc., is a CPTED practitioner, trained in Basic and Advanced CPTED through the National Institute of Crime Prevention. For security professionals, this course will significantly enhance your ability to properly assess and recommend crime control strategies in surveys you conduct or reports you otherwise generate as a security professional.

The basic course covers CPTED theories and strategies. The advanced course expands in to new realms and involves hands-on site surveys to get you started in practicing CPTED strategies as a professional.

Paladin's Vice-President, Matt Carroll, maintains instructor certifications through the Sacramento-Sierra Chapter of the American Red Cross. Class sizes are limited to 10 students per session and can be conducted at your place of business for added convenience. Courses can be tailored to your specific needs and can include any, or all, of the following topics:

RESPONDING TO EMERGENCIES

All courses include training on recognizing, reporting and safely responding to emergencies in the community or the workplace.

STANDARD FIRST AID

Includes first responder procedures for lacerations, broken bones, sudden illness, heat exhaustion/stroke, hypothermia and more. Certification received is valid for 3 years and can be recertified through any American Red Cross instructor/location.

C.P.R.

Includes first responder procedures for adults, children and infants experiencing cardiac emergencies. Certification is valid for 1 year and can be recertified through any American Red Cross instructor/location.

 A.E.D.

Includes first responder procedures for using typical Artificial External Defibrillator devices on victims of cardiac emergencies. Certification is valid for 1 year and can be recertified through any American Red Cross instructor/location.

The American Red Cross has developed a series of 1-hour courses designed to assist employers (or other safety conscious individuals and organizations) in minimizing workplace injuries that risk their personnel, insurance costs and overall productivity.
